Mrs. Teresa Touma Abudeye entered in the business in 2004 and has been acting since August 2006 as Correspondent in Ecuador for Mutual Associations of Protection and Indemnity Insurance who cover any risk, loss, damage or expense in which the members, freighters, charterers and vessel’s operators shall become liable to pay during their commercial operations and shall pay by reason of the fact that the member is the owner of the insured vessel.

With more than 10 years of experience in the business, Mrs. Teresa Touma Abudeye has a team of professionals highly qualified to solve and assist Members and the Associations 24 hours, 7 days of the week in any situation that might occur.

As P&I Correspondent through these years it is fair enough to say she has handled most of the important and relevant incidents that has occurred in Ecuadorian ports, with excellent results in favour of Members & Associations, not only as a consequence of her professional assistance but also due to the wise decision of nominating qualified surveyors and the most reputable and expert maritime / criminal / civil lawyers. The above said allowed for her, in example, obtaining a ship´s release involved in a drug investigation in time record: 24 hours.
